ATP - Vocational Skills

Vocational Skills

Students participate in the Workability 1 program which offers students the opportunity to complete to obtaining marketable job skills. WAI provides students with an understanding of job seeking and job keeping skills. The employability of students improves through occupational class training and on-the-job subsidized or unsubsidized work experience.

  • Work Experience: Off-campus supervised work experience at various locations and in a variety of jobs in the community. 
  • Job Readiness: Writing resumes, practicing interview skills, completing job applications and time cards, projecting pay, and exploring job options.
  • Job Retention: Appropriate behavior, personal hygiene, and professional dress in the workplace.
  • Supported Employment: When appropriate, students may participate in a WorkAbility subsidized work experience.
